Welcome to Ventana Ranch Community Pool’s information hub!  The information on this page is to ensure everyone’s safety and splashing fun.  Here you’ll find all the essential rules and guidelines you need to know while enjoying the seasonal pool.  Please keep in mind that the pool’s hours may change, so it’s your responsibility to contact management to stay in the know.  Dive in and make a splash while keeping safety in mind!

The swimming pool is located at the Ventana Ranch Community Center off Rainbow Blvd at 10001 Rainbow Blvd. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87114

The Community Center hours are seasonal (May 25 – September 2).

The pool opens May 25th at 9:00 am.  Pool hours may be limited to weekends only once school starts until Labor Day in September, weather permitting.

Pool Rules

The pool opens in May.  Pool hours may be limited to weekends only when school is in session through Labor Da (weather permitting).

*There are NO lifeguards at the pool.  You swim at your own risk.

*The pool may be closed if lightening is visible and will reopen if or when the storm clears.

*The pool will be closed for accidents such as defecation or vomiting in the pool and will reopen only when the pool maintenance person or other appropriate person has cleaned the pool and rebalanced the chemicals.

The pool card grants admittance to the resident’s entire family.  Pool cards are reactivated every year.  Do not discard them.  Replacement card cost is $25.  Residents may bring in two (2) guests or a guest family of up to four (4).  Guests must be accompanied by a resident and depart when the resident does.

  1. The Pool Monitors are empowered to enforce all rules.  Please remember that they enforce the rules, they do not make them.  These rules are for your safety and for the safety of those around you.
  2. Violation of pool rules will be grounds for pool privileges to be revoked or suspended.
  3. The cost of property damage due to negligence or abuse will be charged to the responsible homeowner.
  4. A pool card is required for entrance to the pool.  They may be obtained at the HOAMCO Office Monday thru Friday 8am to 4:30pm 505-888-4479.
  5. Only residents/approved tenants whose accounts are current and not in violation of VRCA rules and Governing Documents and who have a pool card will be allowed to use the pool and recreation facility- this includes their guests.  If your card does not work you will not be granted access.
  6. The City of Albuquerque Health Department REQUIRES showering prior to entering the pool.
  7. Please be courteous and dispose of trash in the proper receptacles.  Children under 14 years of age must be supervised by an adult resident 18 years of age or older.
  8. This does not mean the 14 year old can watch younger children.  High School ID is required, or specific proof of age, with a photo will be requested at each entry to confirm age.
  9. NO bicycles, roller blades, scooters, or skateboards, are allowed in the pool area (fenced area).
  10. NO glass containers in the pool area.
  11. NO DIVING, JUMPING into the pool, or HORSEPLAY.  These are safety issues. Entry into the pool by sitting on the side, the stairs, or ladder S preferred. Squatting and lowering oneself is also acceptable.  Entering the pool from a standing position is NOT acceptable.
  12. NO running in the pool area.
  13. Bathing suits are the only attire permitted in pool.  Individuals wearing shorts, cutoff jeans, pants or similar articles of clothing will not be allowed to enter the pool.  White T-shirts are permitted to prevent sunburn.  Attire dictated by religion is permissible.  Swimmers need to remember that this is a family pool and may be asked to change their attire at the discretion of the pool monitors.
  14. NO food or drinks allowed in the pool area.  Clear (colored clear ok) plastic bottled water and formula for babies in plastic containers are permitted.
  15. Volume on radios must be kept low or earphones used.
  16. Swim diapers must be worn by children wearing diapers.
  17. NO alcohol in the pool area, anyone showing signs of intoxication will be asked to vacate the premises.
  18. NO smoking or vaping in pool area.
  19. The Association is not responsible for lost or stolen articles-either at the pool or in the parking lot.
  20. Entry into the pool may be refused to anyone with skin abrasions, colds, coughs, inflamed eyes, infections or if wearing bandages. Band-Aids cannot be worn in the pool.
  21. Members and guests are not to engage in conversation with on-duty Pool Monitors distracting them.
  22. Kiddie/tot pool to be used by children (4) years of age & younger, and only when accompanied by responsible adult.
  23. Flotation devices are allowed only at the discretion of the Pool Monitors and should not be used for safety only.
  24. NO balls or larger inner tubes are allowed in pool or pool area.  Dive toys may be used but if it causes safety issues for others, the parent/child will be asked to stop using them, at the discretion of the pool monitors.  Decisions will be made based on numbers of swimmers in the pool, distance tossed, and how hard tossed.
  25. All water must be consumed in an area more than ten feet from the edge of the pools.
  26. Pool furniture and accessories must be kept in their designated areas. Furniture in the kiddie pool area must.
  27. Horseplay (i.e., flipping or throwing children, diving, standing on shoulders, chicken fights, dunking, or jumping into the pool etc.) or any other unsafe or dangerous activities, at the discretion of the Pool Monitors, may result in disciplinary action or removal of pool privileges.
  28. Fighting or abusive language will not be tolerated.  Violators will be removed from the pool area, at the discretion of the Pool Monitors.  Police may be called.
  29. Please refrain from leaning or hanging on the lap lane floats when in place.
  30. Super soakers or other squirting devices are not allowed within the pool area.
  31. NO pets allowed in the pool area, except for service animals.
